Dr. Greg Hein
Born and raised in Williams Lake, Dr. Greg Hein is a skilled, caring dentist who loves all the perks that small town life in the Cariboo has to offer. He left his hometown in 2001 to pursue a post-secondary education, a journey that first took him to Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops – where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then moved on to Boston, Massachusetts, where he earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University and spent time providing dental services for people with lower incomes at the Dimock Center health clinic. Dr. Hein also makes annual trips to Guatemala with the Dentistry For All initiative, where he helps provide free dental services to people living in impoverished areas of the country.
Soon after finishing his doctorate, Dr. Hein returned to the Cariboo to put his dentistry skills to work with the great team and patients at Williams Lake Dental. While he enjoys the technical and medical nature of his job, Dr. Hein understands that patient experience is one of the most important aspects of dentistry. For many, going to the dentist can involve a level of fear or anxiety. Dr. Hein knows a gentle touch can go a long way toward putting patients at ease, and with that in mind he always works to provide the highest levels of patient comfort.
Dr. Min Cho
Dr. Min Cho is a gentle, compassionate dentist. She strives to make the dental experience for her patients comfortable and finds great reward when patients leave with a smile. Always having had passion for helping others, Dr. Cho was naturally drawn to the health care profession and enjoys being able to express her interest in fine arts, details and medical knowledge through dentistry. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia. Her particular interests in the profession are restorative dentistry and fixed prosthodontics.
She has participated in the Conservative Cast Gold Tucker Study Club and volunteered at various community clinics in the lower mainland. Dr. Cho is excited to join the Cariboo community. She looks forward to working with her team to provide comprehensive dental care for the Cariboo residents.
HISTORY
Soon after receiving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alberta in 1969, Dr. Elmer Thiessen moved to Williams Lake and established his practice – with the goal of providing comprehensive dental services to area residents. Operating out of the same building at 440 Comer Street for more than 40 years, Dr. Thiessen’s Cariboo dental centre has a long history of quality dental services, combined with a patient-centred approach to treatment.
In 2015, Dr. Thiessen transitioned his practice to Dr. Christopher J. Ciriello – a skilled dentist from Ontario with more than 10 years of experience. While Dr. Ciriello changed the clinic’s name to Williams Lake Dental, patients will continue to find the same high levels of quality, caring dentistry and service they have come to expect when they visit 440 Comer Street.
Our clinic has recently been renovated to include an array of today’s leading-edge dental equipment– as well as a variety of modern conveniences. It’s all designed to offer you the most effective treatments you will find, delivered with the highest levels of comfort.
